There continues to be a lot of discussion about the ways law firms bill their clients, from the traditional billable hour to the concept of fixed, flat or alternative fee arrangements. That discussion found its way to the ILTA conference this week.
Ron Friedmann is attending ILTA 09 for Integreon. He’s the company’s senior vice president of marketing. Friedmann wrote a blog post highlighting an article in Corporate Counsel that argued for the increased use of fixed fees. Since then, The Wall Street Journal Law blog also put up a post about companies pushing back on the billable hour in favor of alternative fees,
