David F. Herr’s Annotated Manual for Complex Litigation 4th, 2009 Ed. puts him in the Author Spotlight this month on the West website.

Herr’s title provides detailed guidance on case management techniques in complex matters – including issues of class action, certification, and mass torts – and outlines numerous state cases and related developments.

The profile features “7 Questions with David F. Herr,” which includes his thoughts on why he writes about the topic areas that he has focused on.

“There are plenty of professors who focus on the lofty glory of the law; I tend to find the day-to-day litigation practice more interesting,” says Herr, a partner in the Minneapolis firm Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP.

Herr was featured in a Westcast podcast in 2008 talking about multidistrict litigation, the focus of one of his 13 West titles, Multidistrict Litigation Manual: Practice Before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, 2009 ed. He is repeatedly recognized as a “Top 100″ Minnesota Super Lawyer and is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the Bet-the-Company and Appellate Litigation categories.
